The dark force in the game works by instilling fear in the survivors. This is seen as the survivors try exploring the locations on the map, and their anxiety increases. This leads to a faster increase in level for the Kandarian Demon, whose power is boosted. The survivors should therefore stick together to avoid this kind of distraction. The fear levels tend to increase if the survivors are left alone. Therefore, staying together throughout the game is highly advised. If any of the player’s fear levels increases, the Demon can possess them and make them attack their team members.
The survivors should gather all the necessary components to banish the Demon. However, there is no enough time; you can only manage with the aid of the car. Moving using a car is faster and pretty safe, although the loud noise can attract the Demon. Using cars also saves the survivors from deadite attacks in the woods.
Look for hideouts, especially inside an enclosed place. These places have valuable items that the survivors can grab and will also help bring down their fear levels. While searching for these items, turn your flashlight on, as some things are seen when illuminated by this light.
As a survivor, your key concern is to win the game by accomplishing all the encounters. You should not leave the match early; doing so will make you miss the final rewards. Even though your teammates might not have survived up to this level, as a single survivor, you still stand a chance to win the match. Do not give up.
Get the skill points at the start of the game. Only a single skill can be assigned to every character from the same skill tree. The skills are unique and they will give you supernatural powers to help in attacking your enemies.
Earn stat boost by picking a voice line that is often used by a particular character. Every time this line plays. Look around to ensure you do not have unused stat points.
The most crucial thing in this game is to complete the mission by locating three parts of a map: expelling the dark forces, retrieving the missing pages of the Necronomicon and the Kandarian Dagger, and defending the Necronomicon book. This should be accomplished within the shortest time possible as any delay leads to regaining power on the Demon’s side. The player acting as Kandarian Demon should try as much as possible to stop this mission.
